Should We Cater to Immigrants or Should They Just Adapt

Ever since the state of Florida allowed a Muslim woman to have her picture on her driver's license with her faced covered, we must evaluate whether immigrants should be allowed to practice their religion or culture or adapt to America's ways.  Here are the facts.

Ever since 9/11, patriotism has increased dramatically by the majority of Americans.  However, after the dust settled and everyone calmed down, a certain crowd of people began complaining that American's patriotism was offending them.  Personally, I am not against immigration, just as many other people claim not to be.  I also don't hold grudges against people who want to seek a better life.  Think about it.  If you look back in history, you will note that most people came here as immigrants.

A writer in Tampa, Florida mentioned in an editorial that this idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.  As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language, and our own lifestyle.  This culture has been developed over centuries through struggles, trials, and wars.  Our native language is English, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, or anything else.  Therefore, if you want to come here you have to learn to speak and write in English, not anything else.

Isn't it true that this country is based on supposed godly principles.  I mean isn't our motto "In God We Trust."  This is our motto because this country was founded by Christian men and women, and a little research will prove that.  For those that don't like the way America worships God, or displays the flag, then leave and go somewhere else.  There is one fact this writer did point out.  And frankly I believe him.  This is our country and we frankly don't care how these immigrants (illegal or otherwise) did things where they came from.  We have our First Amendment that gives every citizen the right to express him or herself.

Case in point.  Back in the '70s and '80s, New York City was a classy place to live.  Now all you see are Koreans, Puerto Ricans, Japanese, and Chinese, among other illegal aliens.  NYC has been turned into a dumping ground by these groups.  It is totally disgusting.  No wonder people call NYC a third-world country now.  Where are the Americans?  Where are the white and black people who are Americans?  Don't call me prejudice.  But I will tell you one thing.  If people want to come to America, they better learn English and learn it well. And learn to adapt to America's ways or else.

The bottom line - when these immigrants are done complaining, whining, and griping about the way America lives and does things, just leave.  There are way too many immigrants in this country as it is.  If things progress at the same rate each year, by 2010, there will no longer be people on the other side of the world. This planet will be lopsided, with everyone here and no one on the other side.  I say, people should stay where they are and develop their own country.  Don't come here with your disgusting ways, beliefs, and culture, try to take over, forcing us to accept that culture.  By coming here you are a guest.  Act like one.  Come here but go back when you are done.
