Getting Through That Thing Called Life

Ever since the WTC disaster of 2001 the economy took a deep plunge.  Actually, if you think back, this country was on a verge of a recession just before 9/11.  Now, the stock market is bouncing back, faster then many financial analysts predicted.   President Bush signed an economic package, guaranteeing all Americans will save on their taxes.  He claims this will put more money in peoples pockets.  According to a report produced by the government in August, the average take home pay was higher.

Despite all the signs of an economy turning swiftly around, people are still out of work and many are collecting welfare checks.  So what is there for a person to do with all the negative aspects of the world facing them everyday.  There are a number of things to do including:

1. Keeping close to family
2. keeping close to friends
3. Pray to God for help
4. Build your faith
5. Seek ways to turn negatives into positives
6. Use meditation to manifest what you want in life
7. Exercise
8. Eat right
9. Get enough sleep

I've always found that by keeping close to friends or family, you get that interchange of encouragement to keep you going.  Just when you feel down and out, you get that spiritual or emotional lift you need.  And it usual comes just at the right time.

There is also our Heavenly Father.  He is always there for us to talk to.  He promised years ago in the Bible that he would never forsake his people.  He also said he would listen and help the lowly one, the downtrodden one, etc. But two things we need to do for God to help us: 1) trust him complete, and 2) have faith that he will help us in time of need.  Going to church helps in this regard, because attending church builds faith and hope.

Other ways to adapt and keep your sanity doing hard times is by turning negatives into positives, or by taking lemons and turning them into lemonade.  What can you get out of the situation?  What lesson can you learn?  What can you do to make the most of what you are going through?  Take a good honest look at it and use your creative outlet to find a way to make it better.  For example, what if you had a dirty floor and you were drinking milk but you dropped the glass and it shattered, scattering glass everywhere.  Would you panic saying how stupid you were.  You may at first, but then you may just take the broom clean up the glass, then mop the floor, since you had to mop it anyway, considering the floor was dirty.  This is what is called taken a bad situation and turning it around and making the best of it.

Using mediation is another device you can use to stay in touch with yourself and the universe.  You can tap into the energy field in the air and manifest anything you want.  I tried it one time to get a job.  It worked.  I was out of work for a few weeks.  I meditated and soon after I had a full time job.  Believe me, it works.

Of course, you have to eat right, get enough sleep, and exercise.  If you don't, you will starve your body and brain.  Then your body will have no fuel to burn as it were, leaving you lifeless and in a depressed mode.  It is imperative that you take care of your body.  Without the proper rest, you can't think.  In turn, without the proper diet, you don't feed your body the proper nutrients it needs, and you suffer physically, emotionally, and mentally.  Exercise is important because it strengthens the heart and improves oxygen delivery to the brain, among other benefits.

The key factor here is to keep your life as balanced as possible, eat right, get plenty of sleep, and use your brain to create what you want for yourself.  No matter how bad things may appear in the world, if you use your head, and be persistent, you can pull through it and shine like the rainbow after a storm.  It doesn't take much.  Why suffer through anxieties and worries of life.  That will just make you sick.   Instead, have a glow in your heart, and keep that brain healthy and active.   Before you know it you will be turning that bad situation into a positive.
